FLVME Shares Studio Update As Fans Call For A New Album. FLVME appears to be nearing the finish line on a new project after giving fans a glimpse of himself working in the studio.
The Katlehong-raised rapper shared a video clip in response to a fan who pleaded that Flvme should release a new album. The clip was captioned; “WRAPPiN iT UP !!! .” The video clip can show a producer seated in front of a MIDI controller as he works on music, with a football match playing on a large screen in the background. Text across the video reads, “FiNAL TOUCHES !!!” alongside piano emojis.
The teaser comes about a year after FLVME released his sophomore album BLVCK & WHiTE, a 21-track body of work that explored his melodic side while maintaining the introspective approach that has become central to his music.
Released independently, BLVCK & WHiTE went on to attract millions of streams and received strong attention within South African hip-hop. The project also reflected a period of personal and creative growth for the rapper.
This latest studio update, however, comes without the details fans are likely looking for. FLVME has not revealed a title, tracklist or release date for the project he appears to be working on.
That has not stopped speculation from building. While some fans took the post as a sign that new music could be approaching, others were more cautious, joking that “wrapping it up” could still mean the release is some time away.
FLVME has never been an artist known for rushing his creative process. His catalogue includes projects such as Clouds, CandyMan, GERMANDER II, NOTE TO SELF and BLVCK & WHiTE, with his music often leaning into personal themes, melodic production and detailed songwriting.
